I used a simple method. I'd tell him mommy was going to win! I'd race him into the potty and hurry up to pee.. and he'd want to win so he'd do the same. He'd use the potty chair.Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04427683078875811869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218413556677752650.post-54522563982722427082010-06-10T09:22:11.940-04:002010-06-10T09:22:11.940-04:00We just started real potty training this week, tak...We just started real potty training this week, taking the boys about every 20 minutes to the potty, they've done pretty good, they love their big boy undies, and have had a few accidents. I hope I can make it, I feel like all we've done all week is go potty or clean up poop and pee, ugh.

I haven't really been giving them rewards except the occasional chocolate. But I have been reading potty books and I even have a potty video.

When we go outside I like them just tinkle on the tree, its so easy, I just hope my neighbors don't see, lol!Jenna @ Newlywedshttp://newlyweds-blog.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218413556677752650.post-52204960081786270402010-06-09T14:58:56.780-04:002010-06-09T14:58:56.780-04:00I am so glad that I had girls:-)I am so glad that I had girls:-)Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12099425493742842588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218413556677752650.post-90528072806383108752010-06-09T14:58:56.781-04:002010-06-09T14:58:56.781-04:00My son watched two potty training videos nonstop (...My son watched two potty training videos nonstop (or so it felt) for two weeks, then overnight decided he wanted to go on the potty. He doesn't like the little potty, so he has that toilet-seat-trainer contraption instead. We went to buy it together and he sets it up himself and really feels like a big boy! It's great :) I didn't want to pressure him, and suddenly he was just ready (he's 2 and 4 months). It also got hot and humid, and after the first time he went potty and I let him wear underwear, he realized how much more comfortable it is.

The cheerios idea, though, sounds hysterical and I'm sure he'd love that.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02425311603987184396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6218413556677752650.post-62871031141829027432010-06-09T13:33:56.722-04:002010-06-09T13:33:56.722-04:00We go potty after every meal and right when he get...We go potty after every meal and right when he gets up from naptime. He's starting to get the concept down. Pretty soon we are going to move to taking him every hour and see how that goes. He's still a really little guy, but we are on our way.Amy@TheCircusMcGurkus.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01990078765385100510noreply@blogger.com
