Shopping Trip: Major Shopping Week 3/15/10

We bought some new tires online and needed to have them installed, so I made a special trip to Walmart last Friday.  While there, I picked up some things:
Walmart:
CapriSun $1.97

We pass Food Lion on the way home, so I dropped in there to pick up some good deals:

5.61 lbs London Broil $10.54 ($1.88 lb - they ground the London Broil into ground hamburger...what a steal!)

Then Sunday, Kevin watched the kids during naptime while I went to Publix and CVS.

...I just found an error - I purchased the Old El Paso Green Chilies and the Ground Beef but they only took off $1 not $2... so make sure if you are doing this deal, they enter the correct LU#.

After the kids had their nap, we ran out to Lowe's to pick up some compost and some garden seeds.  Since Kroger is right next door...I asked my husband if he cared to go with me so I wouldn't have to go out tomorrow...and he said "sure"!

= $42.18 - $25 Kroger Gift Card = $17.18 OOP saved $122.60 (88%)


This is was a pretty big shopping week for us.  We stockpiled quite a few things.   

Overall we spent $61.21 OOP for grocery items and saved $198.17 (76%).  We've spent $120.26 so far for the month, leaving us almost $80 for the rest of the month for grocery related purchases.
