Part of this review was to create a recipe using the frozen biscuits.  My Blog Spark and Pillsbury provided me with a $15 gift card and a coupon for a free bag of frozen biscuits.  I purchased what I needed to make the recipe using the gift card.  The store I shopped at did not have the mini biscuits so I bought the regular size Grands biscuits.

This is what I came up with:

This is reminiscent of a "monkey bread".  Here's what you do:

Pumpkin Walnut Coffee "Cake"
1 bag frozen Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
1 small box pumpkin pudding (it's seasonal so stockpile it)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/8 tsp nutmeg)
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup butter melted

Spray a Bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray and stand the biscuits on their side and around the pan.
Sprinkle a small package of pumpkin spice pudding mix and pumpkin pie spice over the biscuits.
Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the pudding mix.
Pour melted butter over the biscuits.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes until biscuits are puffed and golden brown.
Invert onto a serving plate and enjoy with your morning coffee or tea.

I would have liked for this to be a little more "gooey" and more pumpkin-y.  In the end, the biscuits were perfectly flaky and moist and it turned out more like a crumble than a gooey monkey bread.  Oh well, maybe next time I'll mix the pudding mix with the melted butter and pour it down over the frozen biscuits.

Now would you like to try some of the frozen biscuits for yourself?  You'll receive a coupon for a free bag of biscuits, a bread basket, butter knife and butter dish and $15 gift card.

Please leave a comment stating how you'd use the Pillsbury Grands Frozen Mini Biscuits or the Regular Biscuits.

A winner will be chosen by Random.org on Monday November 1, 2010 at 6 p.m. EST.
Remember to include an email address so I may contact the winner.

This giveaway is now closed.  Thank you.

Enjoy!

REVIEW: Ultra Gain Dishwashing Detergent

My Blog Spark contacted me about trying out the new Ultra Gain Dishwashing Liquid.

I have to admit, I normally don't purchase dishwashing liquid.  Most of the time, I can work the drug store deals to my advantage and practically get it for free when it's on sale and using a coupon.  I usually get Dawn, Joy and Palmolive.

This is a new detergent from Gain.  It has a nice scent.  It's not too strong.  It cleans well and cuts through the grease from my hamburger adventures.  It's definitely one I'll be purchasing in the future.  I shared one of the gift cards with my Momma along with one of the T-shirts.  I've encouraged her to try the new dishwashing liquid despite her love of another brand.  I hope she likes it!

Recently, P&G released a $1.00 coupon in the newspaper inserts.  Walmart had Ultra Gain Dishwashing Liquid on sale for $.97.  That's right!  It was free after the coupon!

Did you pick up on that deal?

P&G provided me with a 11 oz bottle of the new Ultra Gain Dishwashing Liquid in Original Scent, T-shirts and Walmart gift cards through My Blog Spark.  The above opinions are my own.

Enjoy!
