How to Fix Untucked Dress Shirts

If you have a little boy in your home and you attend religious services of some sort, then you might run into this same problem:

Untucked dress shirts!  It drives me crazy!

We'll have Hunter dressed for the meeting and the next thing you know, he's running through the house screaming and carrying on like almost 2 year old little boys do, and his shirt tails are hanging out of his pants.  When he was a little baby, I used to use this method all the time, but as he got older, it was easier to keep them tucked in.  Now he's like a madman and there's nothing that holds him still.  So we're back to the method.

Now there are a couple of stores that sell dress shirts with a "onesie" type fastener, but they can be rather expensive.

So I wanted to share how we keep our little boy's shirt tucked in nice and neatly:

Sheet Straps, or some of you might call them Sheet Suspenders.

You know what I'm talking about right?  The little contraptions you use in your bedroom to keep your sheets from flipping off the mattress.  You can buy them at Walmart for less than $5 and you can even order them on Amazon.com (so if you have Swagbucks and redeem them for Amazon gift cards, well, they'd be free for you!)

This is what we do:

On the bottom front of the shirt, fasten the sheet straps on each side of the button.

Have the baby lay on his tummy and fasten the sheet straps about a hand's width apart on the backside of the shirt.

And that's it!  Honestly, it's the easiest way I've learned to keep his shirts tucked in.
He looks so handsome!

It works for us and I hope it helps you too!

Searches + Swagbucks = FREE Stuff!

Search & Win

I know I have already told y'all about Swagbucks.  But I cannot help but send out a reminder.

There are quite of few of us who are doing without a credit card and working only with cold-hard-cash.  This presents an obstacle when we'd like to purchase something online (at Amazon.com for example).  Well, Swagbucks comes to the rescue.  It really is NOT too-good-to-be-true.  It is NOT a gimmick.  You really DO get "paid" to use the Swagbucks search engine.

This is how it works:

Sign up and register at Swagbucks.

Install the search box by downloading the Swagbucks Plugin (replace your Google search since they don't pay you to search).

Then you search.  It can be anything from yahoo, pickles, brown leather shoes...anything.  Completely at random, Swagbucks will reward you with a Swagbuck (usually it's 1-5 Swagbucks but on Fridays they have Mega Swagbucks Day and you can win as much as 100-500 Swagbucks!)  for using their search engine.  They unofficially limit the number of times you "win" a swagbuck.  I've read on several blogs that you can receive a Swagbuck every 4-6 hours.

Once you have enough Swagbucks, you can trade them in at the Swagbucks Store to receive e-Gift Cards to various stores.  The most popular is Amazon.com.  You can trade in 45 Swagbucks for a $5 Amazon.com e-Gift Card.  It's that easy.

We've been using Swagbucks since May 2009 and I've received $60 worth of Amazon.com e-Gift Cards.  We've used these to purchase DVDs and books.  Most recently, I purchased a French Baguette Pan, French Bread Pan and a Mini USB cord.  All through Amazon.com!  It's fabulous to get things for FREE!  And it truly is FREE since searching with Swagbucks is FREE and they reward you with FREE Swagbucks and you trade them in for FREE e-Gift Cards! (I hope my High School Grammar teacher doesn't read my blog, she'd die of the grammatical errors in that one sentence!)

So if you are a "Googler" then you should give Swagbucks a try.  It's so easy!

What are you waiting for?!

MAGAZINE: Family Fun

You know how much I love to get FREE magazines, but this offer is really good despite not being free. I actually have a subscription to this magazine and it's about to run out. It has lots of great crafty ideas you can do with your children and great kid-friendly recipes.

You can get Disney Family Fun (1-year) magazine for only $5 through Amazon.com! It will say $9.95 but when you add this magazine to your cart, you'll see $5 automatically deducted at checkout.

If you've been redeeming your Swagbucks for $5 Amazon.com eCards, this will really be FREE for you!

Thanks Bargain Briana!
