Here's our "lesson plan" for week 4 or letter "D"
Monday (new letter introduction, spelling and writing):
- Introduced the letter "Dd"
- Practice writing the letter "Dd"
- Site words on on flash cards - dog, day, dig, duck, den
- Scripture Memory: .1 Corinthians 15:33 "DO not be misled. Bad associations can spoil useful habits."
- Biblical Story/Character: Daniel and the Lion's Den (read My Book of Bible Stories)
- Silly Song or Nursery Rhyme "How much is that doggie in the window?"
- Extra books to read about Dinosaurs, Dolphins, Dancing, Duck
Tuesday (spelling, writing and math concepts)
- practice writing the letter "Dd", gluing dots to a hand-drawn "D"
- review site words on flash cards
- review scripture 1 Corinthians 15:33. Color picture about Daniel and Lion's Den.
- sing silly song
- Math concept: working on Math Workbook, incorporating dozen and distance
Wednesday (spelling, writing and social studies concepts)
- practice writing the letter "Dd"
- review site words on flash cards
- review scripture 1 Cor 15:33. Draw a picture of Daniel and the Angel who protected him.
- sing silly song
- Social Studies concept: Learn about dentists. How they care for our teeth. Make a tooth craft. Read story Freddie visits the Dentist.
Thursday (review spelling, writing) This is my working day at the bakery.
- Enjoy a Nature Walk at Nana's to see her dogs. Then we'll go to the Park to feed the ducks.
Friday (spelling, writing and science concepts)
- practice writing the letter "Dd"
- review site words on flash cards
- review scripture 1 Cor 15:33. Reread the story of Daniel and discuss review questions.
- sing silly song
- Science concept: learn about ducks and more learning about ducks (coloring page), online story Debbie Duck, make a duck project, may also read The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck.

i'm looking forward to doing more things like this with my youngest daughter. I have two older girls and forgot how fun this age is ;) following from the hop
