Meal Plan Monday 5/21/12

The kids are out of school!  Now what to do to keep us busy...

I want to plan some fun activities, but we're trying to pinch pennies to go on our trip to New York in a few weeks.  I'm very excited about that.  Maybe we'll plan to do some freebie things in Atlanta.  I'm hoping the movie theaters will do their free movie mornings.  That's always a big hit with the kids!  And there's that McIntosh Reserve in Carrollton with the water park.  And maybe I can call some friends who have a pool and crash at their place for a day :)

This week we'll eat:

Monday:  Lamb Roast with potatoes and stir fried green beans

Tuesday:  Buffalo Sloppy Joes over mashed potatoes with celery and carrot sticks

Wednesday:  Scrambled Eggs, turkey bacon and toast with fruit

Thursday:  Dump Chicken recipe...not sure which one is left in the freezer so we'll be surprised!

Friday: Pizza with Salad (last week I found some extra large burrito wraps at the store and we used them like medium pizzas.  It worked great!)

Saturday: Special Assembly Day (we're attending a different one than our regularly scheduled assembly) Nutella Sandwiches, frozen yogurt tubes, applesauce and fish crackers for the kids;  Sandwiches and fruit for me and the hubby;  Supper is going to be at home.  Bean Nachos with salsa and guacamole

Sunday:  Tuna Salad sandwiches with oven fries and fruit for lunch;  Fish Fry for supper.

Hope you have a great week!

Summer ideas:
lots of crafts, check for free bowling during week days, service, roller skating, ice skating, check groupon and social living for good deals on places like these. Parks are free. Hope you guys have fun!!

Nutella sandwiches at the assembly! How awesome is that! Hope you enjoy the assembly. Is this is 11/12 one or 12/13 one? Ours is in September.
