I was really happy with my shopping experience today. I shopped at a different Publix in Douglasville. The employees were so nice.

But I am very disappointed in one couponer. I asked one of the managers where they kept their Green Advantage Buy Flyer since I wanted to pick up on the Revlon tweezer and Benevia deals. She told me there was a lady who shops there and took them ALL! When the manager asked for some back the lady said "NO". That is completely rude and I could not believe what she had told me. I apologized for the lady and told the manager that people like her make the rest of us couponers look bad. In my coupon workshops I mention how important it is to be a "Considerate Couponer". IT IS NOT OKAY TO TAKE EVERYTHING OFF THE SHELF NOR IS IT OKAY TO TAKE ALL THE COUPON BOOKLETS OR FLYERS ONE STORE HAS!!! What's worse, the manager said the lady shops at
3 Publix stores in the Douglasville area and takes the flyers from ALL the stores!!!

Tell me: what is one person going to do with 400 flyers??? PUHLEEZE!!! This one couponer has ruined the opportunity for other couponers to take advantage of deals that could help offset their grocery bill each month. That is selfish and totally uncalled-for.

Okay, now that I've gotten that off my chest. I feel better now.

I hope you have a great shopping week and if you get any great deals, please share so we can pick up on it too!

Check out what others are saving: Grocery Cart Challenge (Monday Shopping Round Up), Fiddledeedee Mom (Monday Publix Super Savers) , Money Saving Mom (Super Savings Saturday), I Heart Publix (Saturday Weekly Totals), Saving Our Cents (Saturday), Southern Savers (Friday Finals), Thrifty Mama (Shopping Superstars)

A lot of the stores in my area, Columbia, SC have quit putting them out at all. You have to go to the Cust Svc desk and ask for it and they will only give you one. I am sure this too was caused because some people are inconsiderate. I used to pick up a 2 or 3 each time I shopped but would never think of taking all of them. That is just wrong.

This drives me crazy. I understand wanting to take a handful (like maybe 6) to stock pile on the good deals, but why in the world would you take them all? I ma having the same problem at my Publix. I have started having to ask my mom to get me a few booklets from her area. I would not have a single Winter savings book if it wasn't for mom.

It's so sad that Publix has to resort to treating us like we are in Kindergarten, but I do appreciate their initiative to set them aside at the customer service desk. Amazing how some people never learned moderation :)

I generally take two booklets, then if I need more I take two again the next week. I don't think my town has very many couponers, however, because one week I had to ask for the Yellow Advantage Buy flyer at the service desk a week after the sale started and they were STILL in the plastic! The manager looked at the date and said, "oh, I guess we should've put these out already!" It was funny!
