Five Question Friday

I have a couple of firsts today!  This is the second.  I'm participating in Five Question Friday at My Little Life.

1. What was the first car you owned?

My first car was a 1981 Toyota Corolla Station wagon.  It was brown and had the best woofer and tweeters in the back hatch.  My dad paid a whopping $500 for the car and I think it was for the sound system!  It smoked terribly and the bearings were shot.  The front seats were covered in a fur (yes I said fur) seat covering.  When I drove in the ministry, the guys in the back always had to use the lint roller to remove the fur from their pant legs because the seats shed worse than any dog I knew.  The car eventually caught on fire one morning on my way to ministry...yep that was scary!

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?

Achy Breaky Heart, don't break my heart, my achy breaky heart, I just don't think you'd understand...enough said!

3. Have you ever had stitches?

ummm, well I gave birth to two babies and needed stitches...

4. What was your first job?

My dad used to do punch-out work for apartment buildings (patching and painting walls, replacing the light switches and outlets, etc...) and I was employed to clean the nasty things.  Yuck, but it paid good and allowed me to participate in the volunteer ministry for 3 years.  From this job I learned I never wanted to keep a pet in the house (because the pet hair ends up in the fridge!) and always wipe out your oven monthly if not more often!

5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?

Oh my, this is a tough one.  Growing up I loved Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers.  I'd have to say my favorite character is Cookie Monster.  He's so funny when he's trying NOT to eat the cookies and ends up eating them.
