Welcome to all the Friday Followers! Today I'm cooking in the kitchen for the month. You can see what's on the game plan and what's on the menu for the month.
Yesterday afternoon, I soaked some Black beans and Great Northern beans. Then I put some chicken breasts into the crock pot.
After the kids went to bed last night, I cooled the chicken and cubed it to go into the freezer. I returned the chicken bones and skins back to the crock pot and added water, fresh vegetables and bay leaves to make some homemade chicken stock.
I cooked the Black beans and the Great Northern beans, cooled them and bagged them in 2-cup portions to go into the freezer.
After that, I browned 2 pounds of ground beef for taco meat and 6 more pounds for spaghetti, lasagna, sloppy joes and then I realized I needed to save 3 pounds of ground beef for Mini Meatloaves...oh well. That's when I changed up the menu plan and added some Starkist Seasation recipes since we have some of those in the bottom of the freezer.
Today I'll be assembling the lasagna, I'll share the recipe with you later on tonight.
