Monthly Meal Plan: May 2010

This month we're going to be eating on a turkey.  But to avoid the monotony of a turkey meal each night, I've tried to find recipes that would flavor the turkey differently with each meal. We'll also be having our Friday Night Pizza night and I'll be sharing more pizza recipe concoctions every Friday afternoon (by the way, if you have a family favorite pizza and would like to share, email me and we'll set up a guest post for you).  We're also going to continue having our Breakfast for dinner on Wednesday nights.  You'll see lots of Tuna Salad sandwiches on the weekends.  My husband grew up eating Tuna on Sunday for lunch and we've got accustomed to eating it and really love it.  Plus I got quite a few pouches and cans for free a while back at Kroger.
  1. Saturday Lunch:  We're running in our 2nd 5K this year.  So I'm sure we'll be eating brunch and then we'll have dinner:  Hamburgers on the Grill, Oven Cheese Fries & Fruit
  2. Sunday Lunch:  Egg & Tuna Sandwiches with fruit; Sunday Dinner:  BBQ Turkey stuffed  Baked Potatoes and salad
  3. Turkey Shepherd's Pie with salad and bread
  4. Turkey Tetrazzini with Peas or Green Beans
  5. Eggs & Grits
  6. Creamy Chicken/Turkey Enchiladas, Rice & Beans, Tomato & Avocado Salad
  7. Friday Night Pizza night:  Chicken Parm Pizza with ChiChi's Italian Salad
  8. Saturday Lunch:  Bean Burritos with salsa & avocado slices; Dinner: Grilled Honey Lime Chicken, salad (green beans for hubby)
  9. Sunday Lunch:  Egg & Tuna Sandwiches with fruit; Dinner:  Grilled Hamburgers with Oven Cheese Fries
  10. Chicken Fried Rice with Steam Broccoli and Honey Ginger Carrots
  11. Turkey Tetrazzini with peas and green beans
  12. Waffles with Fruit
  13. Southwestern Chicken and Rice with Avocado Slices and Tortillas
  14. Friday Night Pizza night:  Cheeseburger Pizza with salad
  15. Saturday:  Visiting Family
  16. Sunday:  Visiting Family
  17. Turkey Shepherd's Pie with Salad and Bread
  18. Turkey Tetrazzini with Peas or Green Beans
  19. Eggs & Grits
  20. Creamy Turkey Enchiladas, Rice & Beans, Tomato & Avocado Salad
  21. Friday Night Pizza night:  Hawaiian Pizza with salad
  22. Saturday Lunch:  Bean Burritos with salsa & avocado slices:  Dinner:  Grilled Pineapple Orange Chicken with Pineapple Mango Relish with Grilled Veggies and Potatoes
  23. Sunday Lunch:  Egg & Tuna Sandwiches with fruit; Using Leftover Grilled Chicken from last night and making Grilled Chicken with Creamy Pesto Pasta with Honey Ginger Carrots
  24. Chicken Fried Rice with Steam Broccoli & Carrots & Peas
  25. Turkey Tetrazzini with peas and green beans
  26. Waffles with Fruit
  27. Southwestern Chicken and Rice with Avocado Slices and Tortillas
  28. Friday night Pizza night:  Chicken Teriyaki Pizza with Nana's Broccoli Salad
  29. Saturday Lunch:  Black Bean Quesadillas with Tomato & Avocado Salad  Dinner:  BBQ Turkey Stuffed Baked Potato with Steamed Broccoli and Green Beans
  30. Sunday Lunch:  Egg & Tuna Sandwiches with fruit;  Dinner:  Zesty Cheddar Burgers with Salad and Taco Packet Potatoes
  31. Baked Country Style Ribs rubbed with this rub with Mashed Potatoes and Peas and Green Beans
It's a finer thing when my month goes as planned but I don't have to worry since I'll have meals on hand for whatever life throws our way :)

    You have a GREAT menu lined up for the month. Your grilled chicken recipes look really yummy, I'll have to give them a try soon.

    WOW! I plan for 2 weeks, but I haven't done it for a month. WTG! :D Definitely frees up time thinking of what to make. :D

    Good for you to be so organized! My monthly plan went by the wayside for May. Hopefully we'll still eat. :)
