Wordless Wednesday: Why we don't have new furniture

My Momma has been telling me we need to look at buying new living room furniture.  I've told her once my little ones are older (like 20 years old!) maybe we'll get new furniture.  So I was in the kitchen making some goodies when I hear the kids squealing with delight!

Leaping off the couch...

and again...

who me?

Gotta love it!

We have our in-laws couches from the late 70's (burnt orange) and we are sticking with them until everybody is at least in the double digits. I love it because they are comfortable (and really durable) but also, I don't really care if they get anything on them or they are jumped on. One less thing to worry about.

Oh I remember those days... They DO out grow it eventually. :)

My friend's son decided it would be a good idea to cut the skirt off of her couch. Yes, sometimes it is best to wait for new furniture.

That is the same reason that we don't have new furniture. My couches are vomiting green stuffing but I refuse to buy new ones until my kids stop jumping.

OH I am in the same boat, no new furniture until the boys are at least 20, they spill, jump, pull off all of the cusions, ugh.

We'll get there one day!

I know what you mean! My two year old is the leaper and I know my 7 month old isn't far behind.
It's hard to discourage some of my greatest childhood memories!

Love the jumping pictures! Great captures!
My seven year old jumps constantly! Never stops! I'm often thankful that he can't really hurt our furniture!

Oh yes...definitely know you're a mom when your furniture becomes a trampoline.
