Meal Plan Monday 12/20/10


Last week we tried a few new recipes.


Our favorite was the Burrito Casserole.  Definitely will be making this one again and soon!

Here's our plan for breakfasts, snacks and lunches:
Weekly Breakfasts:  Oranges, Blueberry Muffins, Yogurt, Cereal , Banana, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Oatmeal, Blueberries
Weekly Lunches:  Chicken Soup, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Egg Salad Sandwiches, Apples, Tangerines
Weekly Snacks:  Graham Crackers with Peanut Butter, Apple Slices with Nutella, Blueberry Muffins, Yogurt

This week we're trying a couple of new recipes(*).  And our oldest son will be home for the holiday break on Saturday.  He's a teenager now and loves to eat.  We're also going over to a friend's house for supper on Friday night.  I'll share the recipes not listed later on.  Here's the plan:


Tuesday:  Maple Chicken with Sweet Potatoes* with Broccoli and Cheese and Green Beans

Wednesday:  Breakfast:  Frittata and Apple & Spinach Salad

Thursday:  Leftovers

Friday:  Going to a friend's house for supper; taking Chocolate Pumpkin Caramel Cake, Smashed Bugs, Green Beans with Potatoes and Easy Corn Pudding Casserole

Saturday:  Lunch:  Tuna Fish Sandwiches;  Supper:  Soup:  Lasagna Soup with Peasant Bread

Sunday:  Lunch:  Turkey and Cheese Sandwiches and Veggie Chips;  Supper:  Pork Chops with Apricot Sauce*, Warm Lentil Salad*

I didn't do my OAMC day this month, so I'll be doing some batch cooking this week:
  • Blueberry Muffins
  • Chicken in the crock pot (shredded and cubed for other meals)
  • Black Beans (precooking for other meals)
  • Snickerdoodle Cookies

Looks like a good menu this week. Your guacamole is very similar to mine, I just use fresh tomatoes instead of salsa.
